I have been using fastsh.it for about 6 months now, I have had nothing but perfect service and great support for my vps and would only recommend these guys as other providers have been useless.

I have had their LU250 VPS plan for about a year now, and only have good things to report about it. 250 GB hard drive, about 1 GB ram, full sudo root access, and a fast connection. What’s not to love? I can easily transfer over 1 TB of traffic in a month.

The beauty of having a VPS is that you can install whatever torrent client(s) you want. I am currently running rtorrent with a rutorrent web GUI.

The support I have encountered is stellar. They have helped me many times.

This plan is so much more than a seedbox plan. You can serve web apps, have your own DNS server, mail server, sql server, proxy server, and even your own VPN server. How much would that cost from any other ISP? I currently am running an OpenVPN server and have not seen any lag on torrent activity while I am on the VPN.

I’ve been on fastsh.it for about 4 months and they’re great. Probably the best thing is the price point for what you get. Almost no vps out there (that I know of) will offer you the freedom and flexibility that fastsh.it will. They let you do whatever you want with your box, literally – from email and website to bouncers, proxy, and torrents, vpn, whatever you want to run. Full root access and an extremely fast connection, it’s just like having another home computer but anonymous and located somewhere in Europe. I get around 1.2MB/s down transfer on rsync to my home computer, which is about maxed my home connection.

I am pretty much in the same boat as theJestre. I got my LU250 in June of 2009 and I have had only pleasant experiences since. This particular deal comes with 250GB of storage, 1080MB, and FULL ROOT ACCESS. That means you can use it FOR ANYTHING (aside from seeding to public trackers and hosting illegal content). I often forget that I originally started renting this VPS for seeding torrents. After I realized what all I could use it for, I kind of forgot that it was also seeding torrents at super fast speeds 24/7. I use it as a web server, Shoutcast server, Minecraft server, World of Warcraft server, and a nice environment for IRC bots to run on. It’s like having a second desktop across the world with nearly flawless uptime and a great connection. There is NO LIMIT on the amount of traffic you use.

Speed:
I am pretty sure the boxes have 100 Mbit connections. I have seen it download at 12.5 MB/s on multiple occasions and I have seen it upload around 10 MB/s. The limiting factor has always been the leechers’ connections, so I wouldn’t even benefit from a faster connection. I can only assume the max download is around 12.5 MB/s and the max upload is around 12.5 MB/s. In my first few months of ownership, I was able to seed over 6TB on one tracker.I have never experienced any other sort of capping.

Reliability:
I am using the Debian image that fastsh.it offers and it has been incredibly stable. It only comes with the bare essentials (does not come with any time of GUI) which I love. Of course, other options (that do include a GUI) are available to you if you’re not that familiar with Linux. Over the past 97 days (starting from when I started actually paying attention to its uptime), my server has rebooted only once. It was rebooting for about 2 minutes, so I’d say its uptime percentage is around 99.998568%.

Support:
Fastsh.it offers no Service Level Agreement (SLA). From what I understand, that means that I am not entitled to help from staff if I cause a problem. I assume part of the reason why these boxes are so cheap is due to the fact that there is no SLA. That’s another plus for me. Personally, I have had only good experiences when asking for help. Everyone in the IRC channel has been kind and helpful. I’m sure they want to help as much as than can to keep you a happy customer. The lack of SLA is probably just them reserving the right not to help ignorant jerks who run “sudo rm -rf /” and expect a full restoration of their files and get pissed when they’re told it is going to happen. That is completely understandable. I wouldn’t want to deal with someone like that either. Despite the lack of SLA, I am giving them a 5/5 on Support because the staff has always been helpful and patient with me.

Price:
My 250GB VPS with 1GB of RAM, full root access and unlimited bandwidth costs me $35.00 USD each month and it is worth every penny. I have checked out a few other places and their price-to-features ratios have all been terrible when compared with fastsh.it. I don’t ever hesitate to pay for it each month because it still seems worth it even after 1 year and 5 months of renting.

Bottom Line:
I would definitely recommend fastsh.it to a friend. In fact, I have recommended it to several friends and they all seem to enjoy it as much as I do.

While I am incredibly happy with the speed of my server with fastsh.it, I cannot say the same with the level of support I’ve gotten in their support forums. I’ve asked twice over the last few months for support in setting up transdroid on android to connect to their boxes, and have only received 1 reply from another user that was semi helpful, although still did not get me fully working. Because of this, I plan on canceling my plan this month, because I cannot continue to support a company in good faith that does not at least reply to one of their users with a “it can’t be done” if that is the case…silence does not equal my money.

Other than that, the speed of downloads is excellent, uptime is pretty damn good (only two outages since I’ve signed up) and using the boxes is fairly easy to do. Would recommend this site to anyone who knows linux well, but noobs stay away, as you’re not likely to get very much help.

I have been with Fastsh.it since the beginning, There service is amazing, The quality of the service is truly unmatched by any other “seedbox” service provider. Fastsh.it is geared more tword the advanced user, with the only real support coming from the forum.

Hi guys , My bad day was the day that I decided to join those scammers who called fastsh.it * the biggest shits in the world* before 2 weeks

they give empty box without any torrent client , when I want to install uTorrent or setup ruTorrent or wTorrent or deluge through out terminal or whatever , i got errors
I beg them to fix their shitty box a lot , but there is no body ….
till now there is no support from them , They Just took My 35 $ and leave me with shitty server like them ..
please be aware of them , they don’t have the sufficiency to be seedbox dealers , They won’t support their clients fast and they don’t fix any thing
I am very happy that paypal block their account and freeze their money because they don’t deserve to have my money for shitty server

u do know all linux’s come with transmit LOL not to mention VPS r blank for u to customize and adding stuff ppl dont want is worse than say…adding utorrent when I want utserver is stupid. Your 1 hell of an idiot with this comment…

If ur getting errors u fed things up and thats ur fualt and must suck at linux to not be able to fix it and shouldnt even be using it. I have had no problem with them and its great to have a VPN and seedbox through my VPS!

well have fun wasting money. My VPS has been flawless since the beginning and any question I had Mike quickly answered before I started renting the vps.

Awesome service for my VPS…10MB/s seeds on utserver and still the webserver is fast(well with my edits on system resource use :P) Great site to fake being in Czech Republic, as a VPN, seedbox, webhost, and just plain LINUX nerdyness :P

I have been with Fastsh.it for a year or so now and I would (and constantly do) recommend them to to anybody needing a seedbox or just a powerful VPS. I see some comments complaining about support but I guess those guys didn’t look to hard as the staff have been great to me. Even forum posts have got quick responses from the staff.

As others say the VPS options you get are very flexible, have complete root access, and if you know a bit of linux you can use it for many other things as well as a seedbox. Speeds are fast, I have seen a 25mb/s transfer or two on my LU350 box (100mbit/1350mb RAM/350GB HDD), and reliability is pretty good too.

The lack of (dodgy hacked) Windows OS options may put some off but ask in the forums if you are Linux-shy and I will help if I see your post.

Terrible service and speeds. Anyone says otherwise works for them!
